About Our Client

Our client well established capital group with growing operations in Poland, currently is looking for an experienced candidate for the role of Board Member. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and development of the finance team responsible for the whole capital group and also will act as a business partner to the local management and to investors.

Job Description

  • Provide leadership for finance division including accounting, finance, and controlling teams
  • Support the management with M&A activities including targeting of potential acquisitions, due diligence, transaction, execution and post merger integration
  • Responsible for supervision of financial and managerial reporting according to IFRS accounting standards
  • Implement and optimize current management reporting process to ensure effective monitoring of actual results against planned budgets for all subsidiary companies
  • Provide analysis to support and improve the operational effectiveness of the all subsidiary companies in Poland (in area of cost control / cash flow management/ processes and procedures / internal controls)
  • Manage short and long-term cash flow of the whole capital group
  • Plan, implement, supervise and control the budget and long-term financial plans
  • Cooperate with banks and financial institutions in Poland and abroad to optimize financing (line of credit, leasing etc.)
  • Conduct the policy of hiring, managing, motivating and developing staff in the subordinate department and ensuring their proper functioning
  • Manage all investor relations activities

The Successful Applicant

  • University degree in Finance/Economic area
  • Over 5 years of experience in strategic roles as Financial Director or Board Member in environment of capital group
  • Ability to provide clear leadership and motivate people is crucial
  • Strong mix of technical financial and accounting knowledge along with commercial acumen
  • Experience in medical sector is preferred but not crucial
  • Understands key business drivers and proactively seeks out opportunities and recommends solutions that can be effectively supported in rapidly changing environment
  • Experience with ERP systems and other IT tools to effectively drive business processes
  • Passionately strives to achieve results; energetic and high level of dedication
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Polish and English
  • Open to travel throughout Poland and abroad as necessary for business needs
