About Our Client

Due to further growth in the region, our client, a major publicly traded multinational B2B services company and a leader within its sector, is seeking to recruit an ambitious Candidate for the position of Cost Controller. The selected candidate, based in Katowice, will be responsible for maintaining and improving cost controlling processes and systems, and will support the creation of the new captive Shared Service Center in Poland.

Job Description

  • Optimize Group controlling processes and activities in order to improve, simplify, standardize and automate management information and reporting process
  • Organise accurate tracking and controlling of related costs
  • Prepare budget and forecasts as well as monitor its realization, together with an explanation of deviations
  • Compare the actual to budget result to determine variances from expected performance and propose action plans to optimise cost spending;
  • Assist in determining individual project costs and business cases
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to the senior management to ensure that the correct financial data is reported
  • Propose and develop new management KPI's by conceptualizing financial / business / management insights;
  • Take part in projects in order to support & automate controlling activities & reporting process
  • Be a Partner and in regular contact with internal stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

  • Relevant University degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in controlling department or in an audit
  • Very good knowledge of finance processes and systems
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel, Access, SharePoint
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations to management on business issues
  • Very good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • High level of energy, drive and passion to succeed
  • Fluency in English written and spoken
