About Our Client

Our client - Taylorbins, an Egbert Taylor Group ltd company, is the world-leading manufacturer of metal waste and recycling containers. Led by their EN840 compliant flagship Continental 1100 Litre bin, their products can be found on nearly every high street in the UK, giving you the reassurance of purchasing a tried and tested range of products backed by expert support.
Because of the growth opportunities we see in the market on continental Europe, we are currently recruiting for a: General Manager Europe with strong focus on CEE region

Job Description


* Develop and implement a business development strategy for the European region, bringing clarity and visibility to where these opportunities lay
* Develop and implement plans for sales growth, including resource plans, for each of the European countries that builds customer relationships and future business
* Review the opportunity for Direct Sales, Agency agreements & Supply Chain partnerships to drive future growth
* Ensure that all development plans are aligned with the capability and capacity of the Group and strategically support the direction of the business
* Develop commercial propositions that are innovative and creative and opens up new market opportunities for profitable growth
* Critically analyse market trends in the Region, and waste management investment, so as to provide advice, guidance and assistance on the key risks and market intelligence which need to be considered when making trading or investment decisions
* Contribute to the strategic development of our business:

  • Communicate clearly on local market(s) changes
  • Drive market acceptance of the use of Galv Metal 4W Bins
  • Contribute to strategy formulation and implementation

Whilst there are currently no direct reports this is a senior role which will require a significant, but remote, interaction with all parts of the Egbert Taylor Group.
Upward reporting and feedback to the CEO is essential in terms of progress

The Successful Applicant


  • Demonstrable business development experience in the European waste management/collection sector
  • Strong network of contacts that allows the incumbent to freely explore and discuss sales opportunities for the Egbert Taylor range of products
  • Comfortable working in a broad & complex commercial environment
  • Ability to persuade & influence effectively in a range of situations
  • Must be able to negotiate contractual and tender agreements at a senior level
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbally & written, critically the job holder must be able to communicate, engage & present effectively with (and to) people at all levels
  • Proven capability in translating complex technical, service and product solutions into market leading propositions and opportunities
  • Ability to translate & formulate strategic objectives into a 'real world' plan which reflect the goals, expectations and deliverables of the Group
  • Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office and CRM
  • English speaker + one of the East European languages is a plus
  • Technically aware
  • Flexible approach to work base & requirements
  • 3rd level qualification - ideally a business or technical degree
