About Our Client

The main purpose of the role is to lead all activities of the logistics department, pro-actively driving the development and ensuring the effective management of all logistics functions

Job Description

- Leading the team to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork and engagement objectives and fulfil supply chain commitments

- Managing material flow, setting standards, and policy compliance

- Initiating, resourcing, trouble shooting and participating in continuous process improvement/lean manufacturing project initiatives

- Responsibility for all delivery related customer communication, the receipt of customer orders and demand planning

- Managing inventory within budgetary constraints by monitoring stock levels, production demand and materials

- Maintaining and monitoring supplier delivery performance

- Initiating cost reduction activities and productivity improvements in warehouse operations

- Working closely with all department leaders to drive lean culture and process excellence

- Results driven, proactive leader, comfortable with change

- Experience in leadership within a high performance work organisation

- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Analytical, numerate, problem solver

- TS 16949 experience

- Able to identify and add value

- Strong English skills both in speaking and writing
