About Our Client

My client is a growing plastic injection moulding manufacturing company, part of huge multi-national group, based in Wrocław area. Due to rapid growth my client is in a position currently to bring in an experienced Production Manager to lead factory operations.

The clear focus of the role will be to manage change, continuous improvement strategy, challenge the existing working practices in the organisation, putting new robust procedures in place.

Job Description

  • Responsible for planning the maintenance of machines and tooling ensuring high reliability of equipment
  • Manage any plant breakdown to ensure speedy rectification of any issues
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, safety standards and good house-keeping practices and confer with the Operations Manager in ensuring appropriate standards are maintained
  • Decrease manufacturing costs through efficiency improvements
  • Ensure sufficient raw material inventory so no production stoppages or stock out occur
  • Manage daily manufacturing functions as well as any other activities related to the production operation.
  • Assures all processes and testing are carried out in accordance with approved recipes, procedures and instructions.
  • Assists other departments as required to ensure overall performance of the plant.
  • Ensures discipline is fairly administered at all employees.
  • Assure complete production batch documentation and entry of process data into the computer system.
  • Monitor all performance of production employees and perform annual performance reviews of the production employees

The Successful Applicant

To be considered, you will need to have a track record in managing production within a plastic injection moulding manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in Continuous Improvement in a production environment, 5S, Lean / Six Sigma qualification highly desirable
  • Previous experience managing and leading a diverse team in a manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrated capability in problem solving
  • Experience with working with MRP programs
