About Our Client

Our client is a world-leading manufacturer of iconic food brands.

To assure full compliance with relevant food laws and regulations in all regards, we are seeking to recruit a "Regulatory Affairs Specialist Food & Nutrition (m/f)" responsible for Northern or Eastern European markets.

The role is based in the European headquarter in Hamburg, Germany and requires very modest travel.

Job Description

- Assuring compliance with current food laws for all outward-facing communication
- Accompany and also actively shape the innovation and relaunch agenda with your nutritional and regulatory expertise
- Advising Marketing, PR and Sales as a competent and service-driven expert partner and supporting the execution of
- Working in close cooperation with the Quality Team, including assuring that requisite labeling components are correctly documented and product databases are up to date
- Feedbacking on recipes, consumer and nutrition needs as well as packaging design and declarations
- Cooperating with governmental authorities, certification bodies, agencies, consultants and other external service providers
- Preparing and holding presentations
- Implementing corporate strategies and networking initiatives through preparing nutritional congresses and advertorials

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Nutritional/Food Science, Food Chemistry or equivalent
  • Two or more years' experience in the field of regulatory and nutrition affairs management within the food industry, preferably Northern or Eastern Germany
  • Good knowledge of current food laws, particularly relating to labeling and health claims
  • Integrity and professionalism together with excellent networking skills in a multicultural environment
  • Highly developed and effective communication skills
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, command of one or more Scandinavian (ideally Swedish or Danish) or Eastern European (e.g. Polish, Czech) language highly preferred
