Our client is an international logistics organization operating worldwide. The organization is currently establishing a new EMEA center of excellence (Logistics Operations and Freight Audit and Pay) in Poland. Therefore, we are looking for a person for the position of Logistics Operations Director, who could join them and help them create the new structures.

Opis stanowiska

  • Ensure correct execution of principal duties of all functions in the Operations and FA&P team as per the relevant job descriptions
  • Ensure the Operations and FA&P team are in compliance with the scope of services and KPI´s agreed between the Company and the Company´s clients
  • Hire, coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and development opportunities
  • Lead employee development and working process efficiency by implementing performance evaluation tools, streamlining best practices, identifying and addressing quality issues
  • Develop and coach direct reports to acquire and refine necessary job skills through constructive feedback, ongoing training, and other techniques that is ap

  • Responsible for setting individual performance goals and objectives and measuring performance
  • Build/Maintain a strong and open-minded team with a logistic service mind set and culture
  • Attend to and provide operational input for performance review meetings (PRM's) and customer review meetings (CRM)
  • Be an active member of the European Management Team
  • Actively support all other company departments both European and Global including but not limited to Procurement, Quality, Client Services and Sales & Solutions
  • Supporting or leading change management programs and conducting the implementation of new business within our operations center of excellenceplicable across the entire team

Profil kandydata

  • Master's degree or equivalent through strong logistics and supply chain experience
  • Over 10 years working experience within logistics operations
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal); Other European languages are an asset
  • Proficient in the standard Microsoft applications; knowledge of ERP systems (SAP), transport planning / management systems (TMS) and customs databases is an asset
  • Excellent Leadership skills (coaching, development of subordinates)
  • Team player and builder, good communicator
