Reporting to the Director Logistics Operations, the Team Lead is responsible for the team's activities in coordinating shipment planning, execution and follow-up to delivery of all outbound shipments for one or more Client accounts; he/she works closely with the Company Operations, Freight Audit & Pay, Procurement, Client Services and Quality Teams as well as Clients and Logistic Service Providers (LSPs).

Opis stanowiska

  • Manage the team of Logistics Coordinators that expedites and monitors regular and short lead time orders for all transportation shipments throughout the shipment life cycle, from planning, loading and up to delivery
  • Select carriers from approved list to pick up and deliver shipment in required timeframe when automated tools do not or are not configured to find a carrier for a shipment
  • Troubleshoot any potential or pending shipment problems; provide assistance in any shipment deficiencies and immediately investigate and bring them to resolution
  • Be the key liaison between the Company Client(s) organization and the selected LSP
  • Answer Track and Trace questions by guiding Client to the Company T&T tools and/or obtain and share the relevant information from LSP to the Clien.
  • Develop contingencies for any potential service failure
  • Proactively report on all service failures and contingency action taken to all appropriate internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for the master data of the Team's Client(s) in Company's Transport Management System
  • Provide input on carrier performance for LSP performance review meetings
  • Provide input on root cause and corrective actions on transport logistics related non-conformances.
  • Act as backup support for the team members or for colleagues Team Leads
  • Provide operational support on Clients' projects as needed
  • Participate in Operations Team meetings, and report out on the team's status and activities (challenges, opportunities, conflicts, etc.)
  • Run and report agreed KPIs for his/her team
  • Support change management programs
  • Analyze process improvement opportunities, identify areas for improvement and ensure success of the agreed improvement projects

Profil kandydata

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics management with 5-8 years professional experience, or equivalent through experience in an international environment
  • 2+ years of experience with management of diverse small to medium sized teams in an international setting
  • Fluent in English and at least one other European language, preferably French or German
  • Proficient in the standard Microsoft applications and spreadsheets; knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) and transport planning systems is an asset. Have a continuous improvement mentality and mind-set
  • Good communicator with efficient reporting skills
  • Detail-oriented, well organized and reliable in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and willing to take initiatives

  • Willing to perform additional activities outside own area of expertise
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with colleagues and external service providers.
