For our international client in a highly regulated environment, we are hiring a senior finance professional to lead finance change initiatives and strengthen data governance across Finance & Actuarial systems. This role blends technical accounting expertise with transformation leadership, owning end-to-end delivery of system enhancements, controls, testing, and scalable process improvements.

Job Description

  • Lead finance transformation initiatives impacting finance/actuarial systems, data flows, and reporting outputs.
  • Perform impact assessments and drive operational readiness for business and system changes.
  • Define, document, and translate finance requirements into actionable specifications for technical delivery.
  • Own data governance and data quality across finance reporting processes and interconnected systems.
  • Design, monitor, and evidence key finance controls related to data, systems, and reporting (incl. regulatory/internal frameworks).
  • Coordinate and oversee UAT and compatibility testing, ensuring clear defect management and sign-off.
  • Ensure smooth implementation and handover to BAU teams (documentation, training, support model).
  • Identify and drive automation/process improvements to reduce manual work and increase reliability.
  • Partner with actuarial, finance, IT, and external providers to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
  • Communicate complex accounting and system topics clearly to senior and non-technical stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in technical accounting / financial reporting in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Insurance industry experience is essential.
  • Strong track record in finance change programmes, system implementations, or finance process transformation.
  • Solid understanding of data governance concepts, controls, and the operational impact of system/data changes.
  • Experience working with enterprise finance systems (e.g., Oracle, Tagetik, SAP BusinessObjects or similar).
  • Able to translate accounting/reporting needs into technical requirements and testing scenarios.
  • Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented; comfortable in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across Finance, Actuarial, IT and external partners.
  • Excellent English (written and spoken).
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) are welcome.
