Job Description

  • Designing and implementing corporate governance frameworks from the ground up, including decision-making structures, policies, and standards to ensure compliance, transparency, and effective organisational management
  • Providing strategic legal support across business operations, product development, and strategic partnerships
  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements (including technology licensing, SaaS/AI agreements, NDAs, MSAs, energy-related agreements, procurement, and strategic partnerships)
  • Advising on legal and regulatory matters related to artificial intelligence, data protection, intellectual property, and competition law
  • Supporting financing processes, capital markets activities, and investor-related transactions
  • Assisting with corporate structuring and governance across an international environment
  • Identifying and mitigating legal and reputational risks, and developing internal policies and legal standards
  • Building and implementing legal processes and procedures in a scaling organisation
  • Acting as a trusted business partner to cross-functional stakeholders (IT, engineering, HR, finance)
  • Managing relationships with external legal advisors across multiple jurisdictions
  • Delivering legal trainings and promoting legal awareness across the organisation

The Successful Applicant

  • Master's degree in Law and qualification as a legal counsel (or equivalent qualification)
  • Minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience
  • Proven in-house experience with end-to-end legal responsibility for an organisation
  • Experience gained within demanding and dynamic industries (e.g. technology, infrastructure, energy, regulated sectors)
  • Strong background in commercial law, corporate matters, and transactions (including VC / M&A / financing)
  • Solid understanding of technology-related legal areas, including AI, data protection, and intellectual property
  • Fluency in English, enabling confident day-to-day work in an international, English-speaking environment
  • Experience in regulated sectors (e.g. defence, public sector, energy) is a strong advantage
  • Ability to operate effectively in an international environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business recommendations
  • Comfort working in a startup environment - dynamic, evolving, and requiring the ability to build structure
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and business-oriented mindset
  • High ethical standards and discretion
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
