We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to lead and improve our Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment. In this role, you will work with Azure Virtual Desktop, Nerdio, and ControlUp to build secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud desktop solutions for global teams.

Job Description

  • Own and manage the full Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment
  • Lead development and improvement of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) services
  • Work with technologies including: Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Nerdio, ControlUp, FSLogix, Microsoft Azure, Office 365
  • Design and deploy secure and scalable virtual desktop solutions
  • Build and execute the VDI roadmap and future platform strategy
  • Improve platform performance, stability, scalability, and user experience
  • Manage multi-tenant Azure Virtual Desktop environments
  • Configure and optimize FSLogix profile management and Office 365 containerization
  • Implement security best practices including
  • Perform security reviews, audits, and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with business teams and internal stakeholders to gather technical requirements
  • Support cloud infrastructure projects and continuous platform improvements
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud, virtualization, and cybersecurity trends

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of experience working with enterprise VDI platforms
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
  • Good understanding of Cloud computing, Virtualization, Networking, Cloud security
  • Experience managing multi-tenant environments
  • Knowledge of Office 365 containerization and profile management
  • Experience designing secure cloud-based infrastructure solutions
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
