For our client - a global financial services organization building its SSC in Gdańsk - we are looking for a Financial Accountant to support international holding entities. You will work across cash, expenses and month-end close in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment. The target working model is 3 days per week from the office.

With a strong international presence and a focus on innovation, the company is currently building a new SSC structure in Gdańsk, creating opportunities to shape processes and drive operational excellence. The target working model is 3 days per week from the office.

Job Description

  • Maintain bookkeeping for international holding entities on a day‑to‑day basis
  • Own and execute month‑end close activities including journal postings, accruals and reconciliations
  • Prepare and reconcile expenses, payroll, VAT and bank accounts
  • Manage daily cash activity and ensure accurate recording of transactions across entities and currencies
  • Support entity-level financial reporting and ensure timely and accurate close
  • Report monthly results to the Financial Controller and identify current and potential issues
  • Investigate discrepancies and ensure accurate resolution
  • Work closely with the Group team (US) to ensure correct accounting treatment under US GAAP and local GAAP
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across multiple jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with internal teams including AP, payroll, tax and treasury to ensure proper accounting treatment
  • Actively communicate across functions to resolve accounting queries and ensure completeness of data
  • Drive improvements in processes, controls and standardisation across holding entities
  • Support development and optimisation of Workday and related system controls
  • Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and initiatives within the international accounting function



The Successful Applicant

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting
  • Experience working in international or high-volume environments preferred
  • Practical experience with ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to investigate discrepancies
  • High attention to detail, organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive approach to process improvement and strengthening financial controls
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with stakeholders
