Job Description

  • Support controlling and financial reporting activities within a developing finance hub in a production environment
  • Participate in monthly closing process, including variance analysis and preparation of management reports
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze deviations vs. budget/forecast and identify key drivers
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes in cooperation with local stakeholders
  • Assist in preparation of financial reports and presentations for the local CFO
  • Work closely with accounting team (AP/AR/GL) to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data
  • Extract, analyze and interpret data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and other reporting tools
  • Support cost controlling processes, including cost center analysis and tracking operational expenses
  • Participate in process improvements and implementation of controlling standards aligned with SSC methodology
  • Provide ad hoc analyses and support business decision-making processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and reporting frameworks

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller with German should have:

  • 2-5 years of experience in controlling, FP&A or accounting-related roles
  • Good understanding of financial statements, controlling principles and reporting processes
  • Experience with ERP systems (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a strong advantage)
  • Very good command of German (min. B2) and English (min. B2)
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or SSC/BPO will be an asset
  • Knowledge of HGB or German reporting standards is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data
  • Good Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to work in a role combining operational and analytical tasks
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, building environment and support process standardization
