Job Description

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with accounting principles.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring transactions are properly recorded.
  • Assist in preparing internal financial reports for management.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting standards.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for assigned accounts (cash, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, etc.).
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify unusual trends or differences.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with financial data as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes.
  • Assist in implementing new tools, systems, or upgrades related to finance and accounting.
  • Work closely with AP, AR, Payroll, Tax, and other finance teams.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • min 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar role
  • Experience in shared services or corporate accounting is an advantage.
