Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees in France (300+ FTEs) using external provider, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
  • Act as the main point of contact between employees, HR teams, payroll providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Validate and reconcile payroll data to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
  • Support payroll activities across additional European countries when required.
  • Monitor payroll transactions and ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related inquiries, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Participate in payroll system enhancements, implementations, and transition projects.
  • Ensure accurate handling of employee lifecycle events, including new hires, terminations, absences, and compensation changes.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll documentation and required reports.
  • Contribute to process optimization initiatives and help drive continuous improvement across payroll operations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll administration, with strong expertise in French payroll.
  • Practical experience working with outsourced payroll providers and external payroll vendors.
  • Solid understanding of French labor law, payroll regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in an international or multi-country payroll environment.
  • Strong payroll processing skills and the ability to independently manage payroll activities.
  • Fluent French and English language skills (minimum B2 level, C1 preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Comfortable working with payroll systems and HR technologies; knowledge of enterprise grade HR / HRIS / Payroll / HCM solutions (e.g. SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, ADP, Deel, TMF) is considered a strong advantage.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ambitious, proactive mindset and willingness to grow within a developing international payroll structure.
