For our client we are looking for a Reporting Specialist to support financial reporting and accounting activities within an international financial services organisation. This role focuses on UK GAAP and IFRS reporting, while also providing exposure to US GAAP group reporting and IFRS 17 processes.

About Our Client

Our client is an international financial services organisation expanding its operations in Gdańsk. The company offers a collaborative working environment, global exposure, and opportunities for professional growth. Working as part of an international team, you will support financial reporting activities and collaborate with stakeholders across different locations and functions. The role is based on a hybrid working model, with three days per week in the Gdańsk office.

Job Description

  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Assist with preparation of reporting packages for Group reporting under US GAAP
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare and review accounting entries related to financial services activities
  • Support IFRS 17 reporting processes, including reconciliations, analyses and reporting schedules
  • Work closely with Finance, Actuarial and Group Reporting teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data
  • Prepare financial analyses and variance commentary for management reporting
  • Support statutory reporting and external audit requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements and finance transformation initiatives



The Successful Applicant

  • 2-3+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or audit
  • ACCA, CIMA or another relevant professional qualification in progress
  • Good understanding of IFRS accounting principles; exposure to IFRS 17 would be an advantage
  • Experience within financial services, insurance or reinsurance would be beneficial
  • Practical experience with month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory
