Senior Accountant - Balance Sheet Reconciliation

This position is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate monthly account certifications and related balance sheet activities across multiple North American divisions. This includes verifying that each reconciliation is fully supported by documentation, confirming subledger details align with the corporate general ledger, documenting outstanding items, and investigating and resolving significant revenue and expense variances in the following month.

About Our Client

Our client is a global, technology-driven financial services group operating in a dynamic fintech environment. The company is building a large SSC in Gdańsk.

Job Description

  • Perform a high volume of monthly account reconciliations and certifications for cash and balance sheet ledgers.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and trial balance tie-outs for multiple divisions.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation and prepaid entries.
  • Collaborate with business partners and management to validate transactions and ensure completeness.
  • Research, resolve, and document variances identified during reconciliation.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries and related analyses.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities.
  • Assist in auditing ledger account activity for accuracy.
  • Contribute to annual activities such as year-end audits, budgeting, and other projects.
  • Assist with monthly income statement reviews, variance analysis, and collaboration with the accounting team.



The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 3 years of expirence in finanse (accounting, general leder, accounts reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable,controling, financial raporting, auditing or financial analysis) required.
  • Prior experience with balance sheet reconciliations required.
  • Strong understanding of balance sheet and P&L.
  • Fluent English is a must.
  • Prior experience in high-volume or global transaction environments (fintech, retail, insurance preferred).
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and handle sensitive information in a fast-paced setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
