As a Accountant, you will support day to day accounting and reconciliation activities while working closely with senior finance colleagues. This position offers an opportunity to gain exposure to end to end accounting processes, reporting activities and system improvement projects in an international environment.

About Our Client

Our client is an international organisation operating across multiple markets, delivering business services to customers worldwide. The company is currently expanding its finance operations and is looking for a detail oriented Staff and Senior Accountant to join Shared Services team.

Job Description

  • Prepare analyses, supporting schedules and variance explanations for management reporting.
  • Validate accounting and reporting data, ensuring completeness, consistency and accuracy.
  • Support month end close activities, including journal entries, data maintenance and follow up of finance-related queries.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation for period end close.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and audit trails in line with internal controls.
  • Coordinate and follow up on accounting and reporting queries, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Identify recurring data quality or process issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support finance transformation and system-related projects, including testing, data validation and issue tracking.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in accounting, finance operations, reconciliations or a similar finance role.
  • Fluent English and Greek language skills at minimum B2 level.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Experience working with structured processes, procedures and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with month end close, reconciliations or financial reporting activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field will be an advantage.
  • Progress towards ACCA, CIMA or another professional qualification is welcome but not required.
  • Proactive approach and willingness to improve processes.
