The organization is building a new Global Business Services (GBS) hub in Wrocław, designed to become a strategic backbone for global operations.Job DescriptionTake ownership of end-to-end statutory accounting activities for a portfolio of sales entities located in Belgium and the Netherlands.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with local accounting requirements and internal group standards.Manage month-end close activities, including accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.Ensure accurate posting and review of accounting transactions with particular focus on local compliance and tax-related matters.Oversee accounting processes related to accounts receivable, invoice processing, and outgoing payments.Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and other local stakeholders.Support statutory audit processes and coordinate the preparation of required documentation.Participate in reviewing accounting practices across different European markets to help define future GBS standards.Contribute to the development of internal controls and governance frameworks ahead of future accounting transitions.Drive process improvement initiatives and support enhancements within SAP and related finance systems.Collaborate closely with Finance, Controlling, Tax, and business teams across multiple countries.Help shape the future RTR operating model as the accounting function expands within the GBS structure.The Successful ApplicantA successful Senior Statutory Accountant (HGB) should have:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Several years of experience in Statutory Accounting, Financial Accounting, RTR, General Ledger, or Legal Entity Accounting.Strong understanding of local accounting regulations, ideally including German GAAP (HGB) exposure.Proven experience preparing financial statements and supporting statutory audits.Solid knowledge of month-end close activities, provisions, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.Experience working with tax-related accounting topics and external advisors.Good understanding of accounting processes within an international corporate environment.Experience working with SAP or another ERP platform.Process-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in building and improving finance operations.Ability to operate independently and take ownership in a greenfield environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Fluent English language skills; additional European languages (German in particular) would be considered an advantage.What's on OfferAnnual salary ranging from 192000 PLN to 240000 PLN.Hybrid working modelNew, modern offices located in the city center of WrocławOpportunity to co-create a key functional area in a brand-new GBS structureHigh-impact role with regional and global exposureIf this role matches your skills and experience, apply now!ContactKacper WursztQuote job refJN-072026-7067992Job summarySectorAccounting, Audit & Advisory, Tax and TreasurySub SectorAccountant/BookkeeperIndustryBusiness ServicesWhereWrocławTyp umowyPermanentConsultant nameKacper WursztJob ReferenceJN-072026-7067992
