About Our Client

We are looking for an experienced IT PMO Manager to lead and develop the project management function within a well-established IT organization in the distribution sector.

Job Description

  • Lead and develop the IT PMO function, including standards, processes, tools and ways of working.
  • Manage and coordinate the IT project portfolio, including prioritization, resource allocation and dependencies.
  • Ensure projects are aligned with business objectives and IT strategy.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, risks and key performance indicators.
  • Prepare portfolio reports, dashboards and management information for senior leadership and project committees.
  • Identify cross-project risks, dependencies and issues and support their resolution.
  • Establish and maintain consistent project governance, documentation and decision-making processes.
  • Support Project Managers through mentoring, coaching, training and development of project management capabilities.
  • Oversee project budgeting, forecasting and effective allocation of IT resources.
  • Work closely with business and corporate functions including Finance, HR, Procurement, Logistics, Trade, Transport, Retail and other operational areas.
  • Support decision-making related to IT investments and project priorities.
  • Lead project reviews and lessons learned, assessing business value and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop a professional internal customer experience around IT change and project delivery.



The Successful Applicant

  • 5-7+ years of experience in IT Project Management, including at least 2-3 years in a PMO, PMO Lead or Lead Project Manager role.
  • Proven experience managing an IT project portfolio and/or building or developing a PMO function.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMI, PRINCE2 and Agile.
  • Experience with project governance, portfolio reporting, KPIs, budgets, risks and resource management.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to manage a complex project environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills, including experience working with senior management and project sponsors.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to develop Project Managers and project management capabilities across an organization.
  • Experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence and Power BI.
  • Very good English - minimum B2+.
  • Higher education in IT, project management, economics, systems engineering or a related field.



Nice to have

  • PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM or SAFe certification.
  • Experience with digital transformation and integration projects, such as ERP, CRM, e-commerce or B2B platforms.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, TOGAF or enterprise architecture.
  • Experience with business analysis and strategic evaluation of IT projects.
  • Experience in a corporate or international environment.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience in the distribution sector.
